The worst that humankind has ever done to God is to name God,
personify God,
provide a near sentient presence for God,
then credit God for all that we've done right
and blame God for all we've done wrong,
for all the horrors we've inflicted upon each other
and all the beauty we've created.
We slight our own brilliance
and deny our madness when in fact,
God is within us all.
We are the master and the slave,
the teacher and the student.
When you pray to God, look in the mirror,
you will ask the question
and you will have the answer...
