a man who left and returned to his wife after sitting and overlooking the edge of a tormented sea from which he could see the source of all the torment

The younger woman is gone...

But before she can, he'd found her suspect...

He'd awaken to the other woman, 

the older one who he would spend of the rest of life...

she had taken what he, he left of her, of his money, 

that's why she came, that's why she stayed...

to collect, to what end...

his end she assumed...

but she wanted more...

The other woman kept his money safe until he needed, 

which he would...

The younger took what she needed and left with it...

The older was there and only had what he offered, 

enough for what they both needed to exist the rest of his life...
