seems a great concern from the left that those attending tea parties and rallies are like lemmings led by others to just show up and rant words that have been fed to them. however what no one seems to notice is that all groups have those who are willing lemmings, those who prefer not to think for themselves but to accept what another says on an emotional level. many of us perceive ourselves as wholly independent of others influence. no such thing. we are all vulnerable to influence at different levels.
take note that left-wing rallies against the Bush administration were no where near as vocal as current right-wing tea party rallies and were far from effective, not to mention that the so called left leaning mainstream press barely covered them.
considering how left leaning much of the mainstream press is supposed to be, so few showed their so called left leaning posture and protested not a word until it was late in Bush's 2nd term.
the mainstream press doesn't lean in any direction but green... I'm not talking green as in concern for the environment.
money talks louder and with more profit then left or right leaning pundits... do anything to affect the bottom line and you're...
but then left and right viewers are consumers too
find me one news organization with non-partisan pundit and personality commentary and you might get more news.
many of those who are labeled pundits are lobbyists
much of what we hear from any news organization is commentary called news
even when the democratic party won control of the senate in Bush's second term, hardly anything was done to oppose Bush's authority.
I've said it before but its only now becoming apparent that part of this anti-Obama sentiment is racial. it is one of the many elements the right is using to draw anti-Obama sentiment
i do believe Obama is trying to do the right thing, however, he's got a lot of favors to return, a lot of people to satisfy.
sometimes I wonder if a benevolent dictator is what we need, LOL, yeah like one exists, benevolent?
so few without authority who crave it have so little empathy.
so few with empathy and without ego
